About me

Hello and welcome

My name is Nina Špolar but my friends call me Nini. I very much enjoy creating magical & whimsical pieces of art - be it by drawing, painting or needle felting and sculpting.

I live in Slovenia and I'm lucky to take daily walks in beautiful nature, which is where most of my inspiration and a-ha moments come from.

Spirit called me years ago and I answered. I have been learning, exploring and upgrading my skills ever since and will continue to do so till the very end. I believe that we are all constantly evolving, and so is our work.

I don't really like labels, so the most truthful thing I can say is simply that I'm a very creative person. I also love to inspire others and pass on the things I have learned myself which is why I teach on Skillshare.

I love these Picasso quotes as they talk about things that we tend to forget:

"Everything you can imagine is real."

and

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."

Keeping the child-like curiosity is something I wish to pass on in my work just as much as the good vibrations that are connected to it. I hope you will see and feel what I feel and that you will benefit from it for a long time.

I occasionally write about my current projects and musings on my blog. I wholeheartedly invite you to subscribe to it so that we can stay in touch and you get first-hand news about my upcoming projects - be it shop related or not (usually not).

I have two accounts on Instagram:

- overall view: @Nina_Spolar_Nini

- felted items only: @galactic_forest_fox

I also occasionally post videos on my YouTube channel.

I will be happy to connect with you in any of these places as I love meeting new people. Especially the kind that believe in magic! :)

Thank you ever so much for your visit.

Wishing you a lovely and magical day every day! :)

Nina
